I am planning my trip for Southeast Asia. I want to make sure I have a modest plan setup before I just wander over there aimlessly. Throughout my travels, I have been constantly on the lookout for opportunities to help support myself financially while continuously seeking out new adventure destinations.
Traveling and exploring foreign, unknown destinations is a special experience for anyone, and it’s the reason so many of us travel. It takes us away on a journey from the mundane cycle that life can become very often when every day seems to be a repeat from the previous day. Unless you are working towards some higher purpose, goal, or objective, then the days become recycled residual from the previous day. Excitement for the day then must be recreated, and sometimes that becomes artificially. It could be alcohol, it could be exercising, it could be eating food, or even smoking. Some of these habits are obviously better than others. Still, it’s the reason so many people do it is because it helps an otherwise boring mundane day to become a bit more cheery momentarily with whatever stimulant or additive is incorporated during the day.
To me, travel is that drug. It is that new experience, that new excitement, the jump into the unknown which anchors me to the present moment. That present moment is the state in which we all seek to attain to experience as often as we can. It is that moment of stillness, calmness, and serenity which silences the incensent stream of thoughts which constantly pour into our minds on a daily, waking basis. The same feelings which are felt through an adrenaline rush when we become utterly anchored to the present moment, fueled by the adrenaline.
So here we go again, another trip planned, but this time for a much longer period of time. Normally, I set off to some destination for a week or two at a time, but this time, I plan for it to be prolonged. Upwards of 2 months. To completely immerse myself in these travels, create content, and to turn my life towards a new rewarding direction all around.
